Steam in the Rockies Volume: 3 Fall Freights on the Cumbres and Toltec. 2013 was a special year for the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, as K-27 2-8-2 #463 operated for the first time in 11 years after undergoing a lengthy rebuild. The highlight of the year was a fall photo charter with #463 and C-158 2-8-0 #315, which was trucked in from Durango for the event. This program covers all 4 days of fall freights during the 'Chama Steam' charter. We'll step back in time as #315 pulls a period stock train, while #463 is on the point of a mixed freight. In addition, you'll see #315 leading a doubleheader on the 4% grade out of Chama, plus #463 as a mid-train helper on the east of the line.
