WARNING: The Mine Tours require long-distance walking, on steep and rough terrain, at high altitudes (9,000 feet above sea level). For safety reasons, you must be in good health and free from high blood pressure, breathing-related distress, or recent surgeries. Additionally, the mines have low ceilings which may aggravate back and neck pain for people taller than 6 feet. Expectant mothers should consult their physician before making reservations for these tours. We are very sorry, we cannot accommodate wheel chairs at our mine venues.

I understand that children 4 years old and younger may not enter the mines due to state safety regulations, but are welcome at the mine site. For the Lebanon Extended tour we suggest the children be age 7 or older. The mine environment may cause anxiety for young children. All passengers must purchase a mine tour ticket in order to disembark the train at the mine. If a child does not meet the age requirements they must be accompanied by an adult outside the mine in a designated area. By regulation, every individual at the mine site must be able to walk independently the entirety of the time at the mine site and wear a hard hat for the duration of the tour inside the mine. There is no wheel chair accessibility on the mine tours due to the historic nature of the mines and the steep, uneven terrain. Thank you for your understanding.
