Board our richly restored 1920s-era dining car at the train station in Walkersville, then settle back and relax to fine dining throughout your leisurely two-hour train ride. Southampton is our main, formal dining car with ten tables that each seat up to 4 guests. Meadowlark is our newly restored seond dining car that has 5 tables that each seat up to two guests. Meadowlark is also a great space for large-parties of 8- to 10- people that would like to privately reserve the car for a group gathering. Murder Mystery Dinner TrainCome enjoy an exciting Murder Mystery Dinner produced by professional actors from the Way Off Broadway acting troupe of Frederick, MD, and catered by The Carriage House, Emmitsburg, MD. Approximately 2 hours of interactive fun and delicious dining in our 1920s-era dining car. Experience the exciting sights, smells and sounds of steam for three weekends only! Ride behind a real, coal-fired steam locomotive. Be sure to have your camera ready for some memorable photos. We'll have two open flat cars behind the steamer, plus several enclosed cars and a caboose available for private reservations. Departures at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM each day. Note that you may not want to wear your Sunday best because the steam locomotive can shower a little coal dust and water at times. Daytime excursions (1 hour and 10 minutes) |
